Description
Avalanche-2 allows high-throughput cutting of oversized steel scrap up to 1.5 meters thick. It can operate in harsh conditions at an outside temperature of –30°C to +50°C. Natural gas is used as fuel gas.
The machine cutter is designed with in-nozzle gas mixing and is equipped with a two-flame monoblock nozzle that provides heating of the upper and lower edges of the cut metal, facilitating high thickness steel cutting. The torch can be air-cooled or water-cooled, depending on the operating conditions.
Avalanche-2 can be equipped with an automatic cutter height tracking system suitable for workpiece with a small variation in height (mainly for slab trimming).
Cutting steel with thicknesses of 600 mm and more is carried out with low pressure of oxygen.
